Happy Birthday, Ham!

Ever seen a guy farting FIREWORKS from all the love he received for his birthday celebration?
If you haven't, you're in luck!
Here you go...

And sez who balloons are only for kids?
They're also for 20-something guys who play as hard as they work :D

Erm...what can I say about the below picture...
My man was hungry and dinner was kinda late.

Although I have ZERO explanation for the next picture below.
It is just so ... wrong!

As the camwhoring session wore on, folks got a little excited with the sausage-balloons.

And so did I ...
*sheepish grin*

Of coz the nite would be incomplete without a picture of the hot babes at the beach that nite
:D

Happy Birthday, Ham!!!

Raya Makan-makan

Yummie!!!!

The contented gang after getting our rendang fix from Elsie's mom.

Top row : Ivan, Aaron/Leong/Sweetheart, Ham, Werner, Elsie
Bottom row : JoAnn, Emily, Eleen, Melissa, Fanny

Babes

Baby Lucas
(Handsome dude, eh?)

Baby Jaelyn
(She stole my heart already! *sob sob*)

I wish these 2 cuties are in Penang so that I can play with them and spoil them silly.
Oh well....

EUPHORIA by MOS

The excited gang in front of EUPHORIA just before the debacle of being kicked out thrice.
(If you don't know what I meant by the above, read about it here)

Promotion and event @ MOS for the night...

Lucky us that Wyborowa was promoting their vodka that night which was only RM500 for 2 bottles. Cheap, eh? We managed to escape from having to pay thru our noses for the regular pricey drinks MOS is notorious for charging.

....and this is how the crowd was like inside....

... the smoke is from the dry-ice machine, not from ciggies ...
(Yay! For once, I could breathe freely in a club!)

T'was surprisingly not as packed as we'd thought it'd be.

Pictures of the pack ...

(Of coz there were some other pretty HOT pix taken that night with certain folks but they are only for the eyes of those present that night. Seriously doubt the general public will be able to handle the sizzling-ness of those pictures! *wink*)

The professional camwhores took the opportunity to show off their tongues.
Somehow, it's sexier when the chicks are doing it. The guys just don't have the skills, eh? ;)

To our disappointment, the lights came on at 3am. Silly us thought that the clubs in big city KL will at least have a later curfew than the clubs in Penang. We were sadly mistaken.

Thankfully, someone knew someone who knew of other clubs with later curfews. So, off we drove to TTDI. Met some old and new frenz @ Waikiki Too. More drinking and more new friends later, the night had to eventually come to an end. What happened after that was a big blur. I had some vague memories of us having supper somewhere before heading back to SS2 to retire for the night/morning.

Definitely one of the best clubbing we've ever done in KL!

Liverpool Loonies

Don't ask me who these guys are. I only know the 2 loonies at the far right waving the scarf
(is that what it's called???)

These 2 guys are the reason we had our dinner @ Tony Roma's that night. Never mind that the food was not that great. All that matters is that their fellow Liverpool fans were gonna be there. :P

TORRES & KEANE!!!

And after their team won the game, some proud fans came over to our table to sing the Liverpool song SO loudly that shoppers at the Curve were all staring at us wondering what the croaking was all about!

Check out the little kid in front. Not sure if he was there voluntarily or his Liverpool-fansie-parents made him dress up like the rest and came to cheer for the red team.

And of coz, the highlight of the party was the birthday celebration. Here are the pictures of the birthday boy blowing out the candle on his birthday cakes. Don't ask me why 2 birthday cakes. Let's just put it that he's a very special man ;)

Cake in cocktail glass : Complimentary from the mgmt of Tony Roma's
Square chocolate cake from Secret Recipe : Complimentary from the Liverpool Fan Club

Not sure where the hat came from but it was too cool not to camwhore with it. :)

And another one with the birthday boy...

End of pix-sharing from the Liverpool/birthday party.

Flirt Attack!

A rather silly online flirting game. Chanced upon it on a friend's space and imported it over 'cos I thought it'd be fun. Turns out, it's a rather boring game.

08.08.08 - Part 1

EVERYONE wants to be part of this special day. Weddings are planned for today (mass wedding, I can betcha!), babies are C-sect'd today (I have some baby-visiting to do this weekend), huge parties are planned to be remembered forever, and of coz, the opening ceremony of this year's Olympics.

I was less demanding. I didn't need today to be all about fireworks. I just wanted today to be a good and happy day.
.
So, I decided to start it on a good note : Spending quality time with mommy dearest.
I am embarrassed to admit that I don't spend enough time with my folks. Partly because I moved out 8 years ago and mainly because we are all so caught up in our own lives.
.
I'd call it a 50-50 thing though.
.
50% my fault - True, I am very guilty of being carried away with work, life and friends.
50% their fault - Their agenda is sometimes fuller than mine! From planning holiday trips to Korea, Medan, Hong Kong to attending functions with their goldie friends.
.
Sometimes, we send text messages to book each others' time. Yeah, that's how crazy my relationship with my folks are! Heh...

So this morning was indeed a special morning for me. Why? Coz I get to go fruit shopping and have breakfast with my dearest mommy! :)))
.
First stop : Fruit shopping @ the Lorong Kulit Flea Market (next to Penang State Stadium)
*Note - If you are local, you will know that this is the BEST market to go fruit shopping. One is spoilt for variety and it offers the cheapest price on the island*

See the below pictures? A fruit lover can lose his/her marbles in a place like this!

And here's a picture of Mommy dearest carefully selecting through the fruits to pick only the freshest for her darling daughter.

"Do you want some dragon fruits too? These look fresh and they are good for your health too. You should take some, y'know"

We left the fruit market with bags and bags of red apples, green apples, sweet oranges, golden kiwis, plums and jackfruit. My mind was already reeling with all kinds of dessert recipe to whip up with those fruits.
.
Next stop : Breakfast at the famous Hainanese Lor Mee at Burma Road.

We've heard so much about it from other local Penangites but it was the first time we had it. Was it reeeaallly good? Not really. It was slightly above average but I still prefer my favourite Hokkien and Lor Mee place near the Penang jetty. Would I go back? Maybe if some out-of-town friends insist on going there. Otherwise, nahhh...

The morning soon ended shortly after as I had to go back home to do a little bit of work before getting ready for tonight.

Yup, it's a Friday night and we have a different Friday night agenda this week.

Stay tuned for Part 2. :D

Hot Press

Barely one minute after I uploaded my final post in FS, my cell phone rang. I looked at the clock. It was slightly past 1am. "Who would be calling me at this hour?", I wondered.

He : Hey Eleen. Just read your last post in FS. Serious ah? Why lah???? Why no more blogging dee??!
Me : No lah. I will still blog but not in FS anymore coz it farked up on me and I am in no mood to play games with it anymore. So, I've decided to move on lah. You just go to blogspot to read my posts loh.
He : But will it send emails to alert me like how FS does?
Me : Erm...don't think so. Unless you subscribe to RSS or Atom or watever those live feed thingy do lah. I still need to explore how they work.
He : But but but...if no email alert, how I know I got fresh stuff to read from you? Must must MUST have email alert lah!!!!
Me : Calm down. We will figure it out somehow someway, okay?
He : Promise ya?
Me : Promise.

So folks, I need to find out more about RSS and Bot A Blog and whatever else that is out there that sends email alerts like FS does for new posts.

Please be kind to share whatever knowledge you have on them so that I can pass the information to those who are bombing me with emails and text msgs on why I ended my 1.5 years affair with FS. Pretty please?

A New Affair

My FS affair has officially ended today. Actually, it ended on Aug 1st but I didn't want to call it quits then. After all, we shared 1.5 years of many wonderful experiences. A long and exciting roller-coaster-ride of emotions. Unfortunately, today I had to face the inevitable.

Our affair is well and truly DEAD. :`(

I mourned for what it's worth, for all that we shared, for you and for me ... then I moved on.
To my old-time backup buddy : Blogspot

Sheepishly, I admit that I've neglected my backup buddy and never really spent time to be one with it. Like how I was one with my old lover, the Friendster. Today, I am rudely reminded to NOT take anyone or anything in Life for granted. Forgive me?

Please bear with me as I feel my way around here. Getting to know the right knobs and buttons to turn and push. To feel my groove. To get back my Mojo. Before I can resume my blogging affair. So, be patient, ya! :D

More to come. Stay tuned, folks. :)))

Cashier-less Restaurants

The vending machine customers go to make their selection and get coupons for their food and drinks.

After purchasing the coupons from the machine, the customer walks into the small restaurant and hands them over to the staff standing behind the counter.

Most restaurants with this kinda of concept are super small. Imagine a place smaller than the 600cc outlet at the basement of Gurney Plaza in Penang. Imagine a pigeon hole.

Fast and efficient.

That is their motto.

Lesson #1 for 2008

I learnt something new today.
I learnt that he does not fancy Pacific clams.

It was really funny though...in a frustrating sort of way.
I was driving around like a mad woman today looking for Pacific clams only to find out from him later that he actually doesn't like them. And they cost me a small fortune! :(

Ah well, one more lesson learnt today, and to be added to my library of his likes and dislikes. I know he compiles a mental list of all my likes and dislikes. So, I need to ensure I keep my library updated too.

Life is indeed a continuous learning adventure. How cool is that???

Muhibbah

Scenario :
Boss needs some pictures of good lookin' Asians. Main criteria is that they gotta show the 'muhibbah-ness' of our Malaysian society.

Solution :
Get Eleen to 'create' the situation and supply the models.

So, directive from my director - "Eleen, go do what you do best. Make things happen. Make us Asians look good to those global folks in US and UK."

Conversation # 1 :
"Darling, can you do me a BIIIGGGGG favor and come to the office tomorrow in that super gorgeous blue saree of yours?" - "Sure, all you needed to do was ask, Eleen".

Conversation # 2 :
"Sayang, boleh ke u pakai baju kebaya u tu yang teramat memberangsangkan tu?! Yang warna merah jambu barbie tu...yang u pakai for Merdeka Day event bulan lepas. Boleh pakai tu ke office besok?" - "Bolllehh! U tau I tak erti reject u."

Conversation # 3 :
"Hey cubemate, need some models for a photo shoot tomorrow. Can you wear a punjabi suit to the office tomorrow? Need someone to model in punjabi suit." - "Punjabi suit model??? Why can't I be the saree model??? I wanna be the saree model! Sexierrrrrr." *Eleen rolls eyes* "Stop it! You have wayyy too many nice, unworn punjabi suits in your wardrobe. I know coz you showed them all to me just last week. So, pick the nicest one you have and wear it to work tomorrow. No negotiation." *dramatic sigh* "Ok then. If you insist."

Ok, now that I have the traditional clothings taken care of, need some 'regular' clothings. Need someone in jeans and shirt/top. Don't need formal wear coz Dell is generally very laid-back when it comes to dress code.

Now.....
Pretend to work, ladies.

...or not.... (the messy cube behind them is mine! :D)

Ok, let's bring in the model in the jeans.

Now, let's bring in the Irish man. Add a little Irish flavor....

One last team picture.
This time, show that you folks EARN the salary you take home every month! :p

Finally, a picture taken with yours truly.
Darn! Didn't realise my badge was turned the wrong way. Kinda spoilt that picture for the presentation. :(

Truly a muhibbah group, we are. Too bad cheongsams are not popular at the office.
Hmmm...I wonder why.....

Close to Home

If you have worked on a project/program at some point in your life, then you will be able to relate to the below graphic.

When I got it from a colleague, I couldn't stop laughing and going "So true! So damn true!" as I viewed it - tree by tree. :D

Then I forwarded it to some friends and all the program managers/leaders/active members wrote back : "So well put! These pix made it all so crystal clear!"

Hahaha.....

So, what do you think?
Did they ring your bell the way it rang mine and many of my friends? ;)

L.O.V.E.

There was just LOTSA lurrvee in the air last Saturday night.
We celebrated a buddy's birthday at our favourite club in town. Lots of camwhoring going around and everyone had loads of fun!
Read all about it here.
Then, there are some pix that were not shared with the general group.
Not that they were not safe for the general public,
but we just don't feel like sharing with them all lah! :p
However, I do feel like posting 'em pix up here. So, here goes.
Erwin doing the kissy kissy

(Hang on, where's his gal? Somewhere around talking/dancing/drinking while her bf is trying to convince Drey & Kenny to give us a kissy pose. Hehe...)

I have a pic of them lovebirds kissing but darlin' Drey is shy about the pic.
In her own words "I just feel we look funny kissing".
I can't say I agree to that claim, girl. That's so NOT true...but, I respect that and will not post dee pic here. ;)

What I will post is the one of Drey kissing me, eh?
I know fer sure we don't 'look funny'. ;)

And the one of Erwin 'knocking noses' with Amirt.
We can't help but feel the lurrveee, eh? ;)
Of 'coz we must not miss out the lovin' between Amirt & my sweetheart.
What about the birthday boy???
Definitely not one to miss the fun, here's one of Fanny kissin' the birthday boy.
Never a clubbing nite ends with Fanny not smooching a gal.
So, here's one of her smooching Irene.
Then there is this pic taken of me and sweetheart but I think most folks will not be able to look at the pic without going "Yohhh!! Go get a room lah you two!"
So, I will save all the embarassment of viewing an 18-SX pic.
:p

I will end this picture sharing post with a personal favourite of mine.
I will not reveal who these folks are but you know who you are.

Definitely a "Caught in the Act!" moment ;)

Long Overdue

No, I have not forgotten about this blogspot of mine but I have just been busy at my Friendster space. Considering that Friendster has not farked up my posts lately, I have not been motivated to blog here. So sue me. :p

What I do NOT like about Friendster is their stupid 50-pix monthly quota. Considering that I have been uploading a fair bit of pix with my recent posts, I have just used up my September quota and me no likey being restricted! :(

So, I have decided to hop over here to post more pix.

Hip Hip Hooray for backups! :D

Virgin Entry

There are many firsts in one's Life.

First love
First bump
First whoops
First action
First OMG experience
First blog entry

I won't lie and claim this to be my first ever blog entry...'cos it is not. Have been a faithful blogger at Friendster as most of my friends are registered there.

On the other hand, I do acknowledge the fact that it's always good to have back-up's.

Back-up boyfriend
Back-up plan
Back-up place
Back-up job
Back-up blog

So, thanks to SL, I now have a backup blog space in case Friendster screws up (like it occasionally does). Thanks, girl! *muax*

Will try to make it a point to visit this space once in awhile, even when Friendster is not screwed up! :D
